Founded and created by Yashvi Kiran - a young environmental campaigner based in Birmingham, UK - I am passionate about helping to stop plastic pollution globally. My interest in this area came from a school project on writing about a global issue. I did some research on plastics in the ocean and I was shocked by the amount of microplastics polluting our world. Plastic pollution has become one of the most pressing problems with over 350 million metric tons of plastic waste and we need new innovative ideas to help reduce it - led by the next generation.
Our mission is to help cleanse the world of plastic and to protect wildlife. We want to make sure that all plastic waste is managed properly yet is still able to be of use when plastics benefit us. This led me to create Young Plastic Fighters.
Young Plastic Fighters is an online sharing website where you can post ideas on how to reduce plastic pollution in the world and a reduced use of plastics. I want to inspire other children and anyone of school or college age to innovate us creative ideas to tackle to nature and pollution crisis.
I want to inspire and encourage visitors to my site to like and comment on their favourite most innovative posts, so that collectively we can problem solve our way to a better future.
